Dillon 550

Recommended Posts

If you have the Dillon Strong Mounts for your 550. I got 2 PVC plastic white pipes from HD and capped one end of each pipe and then got a spring clip and bolted the spring clip to each strong mount and snapped the pvc tube in on each side and now I have one side with filled primer tubes and the other side for the empty tubes. I can fit 4 tubes in the pipe. You can even paint the tubes blut to match. You can see the one white tube. Works well. The scale table next to the press is mounted on the wall so vibrations don't effect when verifying the weight. PS I have also a knob on the powder measure so I don't have to use that wrench to increase or decrease the powder. A simple turn of the knob makes life easier.

Roman Candle! :o

I only load a tube or two at a time and leave them lying flat in an open area of the bench while they are waiting. Primers don't get to spend much time in between their boxes and the Dillon primer magazine around my place and I won't let them congregate in large groups, that just leads to trouble ;-)
