Chris Leong
Just received my PACT 4 today, I bought it used with the chrony. Great machine! Is there any way to: a) adjust the volume of the beeper? adjust the sensitivity of the timer? some timers can be adjusted so that even tapping the timer or clapping one's hands will cause the timer to trip c) get to the comstock go function? d) upgrade software? It is a ROM? I have the B4 version. How's the printer attachment? Anybody have one/use one? The previous owner shot out one of the chrony sensor covers, and I ordered a spare already. The guy at PACT said to buy four and I quote "you either shot out the cover or you're going to shoot it out". I took his advice but really? Do people really hit their chronies all the time? 38supPat
I don't know about some of the tech questions but as far as shooting them...A good friend of mine was shooting ove my brand new Chrony and not getting the reading he wanted, they were a bit slow, so he thought he would try shooting a bit lower and see if the velocity picked up..and lower..and low-oops. Michael Fletcher
The next time you are talking to Pact ask them about software upgrade. You will have to send it back to them and it will cost a little bit but they will do it.
Rich Bagoly
I have the Rev. B4 software. What is the latest version. and what improvements have been made? One feature I'd like to see is remote start, using the plate jacks. I think the Pact is a great timer. The only problem is when you let someone else use it, they always hit the wrong button. Rich Bagoly
The Comstock Go is a simple way to add multiple strings. Push the button labled 0/CST GO to start. The timer will not erase the previous string, but will add to it. The best way to learn how it works is to try it.
