rustybayonet
Back to my experiments, will the sizing die for .308 care if the case is longer than it should be? I am going to try and get blanks to run live ammo. When I cut the blanks I want to leave them on the long side and trim them after sizing. I have already put a post up on the type of blank that is safest to use and now I am going to give it a try. I am using .308 because I have a mauser that shoots .308 and mausers have a pressure release system built in in case there is a case rupture. Germans think of everything? Glockinator
No the sizing die within limits will size longer brass. I do it all the time with cut down 223 that I am sizing to 300 blackout. I cut them behind the neck a little long, size to blackout specs and then trim to proper length.
