selecw
My 9mm Gold Team extracts and ejects fine while shooting, but I can't manually extract rounds without a lot of force - they are jammed into the chamber. Obviously this is going to be a problem when clearing the gun at the end of a match stage. The rounds all check out fine on a case gauge, and drop free easily from it. The gun is clean and lubed. The rounds have been prepared on a Dillon 650 using a Lee .003 undersized die, and I am using Precision Delta 124 gr HPs. Any theories? Thanks for the help. kneelingatlas
It sounds like your chamber is shorter than your case gauge, I plunk test all my ammo in the barrel of my pistol. In my 9mm Tanfo I had to load JHPs down to ~1.13" until I reamed the throat. How long are your rounds?
selecw
1.130.. maybe I should load a few at 1.120 and see what happens Edited February 10, 2016 by selecw

Garmil
Yep sounds like your oal is a little long.
selecw
Guys, your advise was spot on. I tested a variety of different lengths and have settled on 1.119, which provides smooth manual extraction. Manual extraction became a little stiff at 1.122, worse at 1.26 and a definite problem at 1.130 Off to the range in an hour to see how well the new OAL performs. FYI my major load is 8.1gr of HS6 (although for practise and to spare my hands I also use 7.7 and 7.9gr) and S&B small rifle primers.
