rmj339
rmj339Yesterday, 02:38 PM I am thinking about running my 1911 in IDPA some this year I normally run and MP and thought it would be fun. My question is I noticed no one is really using an extended slide stop.....are they not worth it.... The reason I was thinking of putting it on is because I can SL reload faster with the MP and was just trying to speed it up some. Thanks
Rangerdug
I would look at the EGW extended slide stop. It is IMO the best one, especially for SL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jim Watson
Extended slide stops have a bad habit of bouncing into engagement before the last shot. If you can find one that does not, you are doing well. I had two of very different design that prematured so I quit looking.
Rangerdug
Ed Brown, also makes a good one. I have one on my limited gun. I have never had an issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LowryWeaponsSystems
Try it, see if it works for you. It works for me since i have a hard time dropping the slide with the stock kimber unit
