Danny3nose
Anyone else ever have this issue? My other SP01 Shadow and my 75b only engage when the hammer is cocked.
Danny3nose
Disregard... Google says it can be normal on comp trigger jobs. Must've not noticed it before.
kneelingatlas
The tolerances at the safety/sear interface are tiny, combinations of tiny variations in the safety, hammer and sear make the difference.
Danny3nose
I know nothing of how the gun works; there could be elves inside throwing bullets for all I know... I just like to put holes in things.
bthoefer
With the Comp hammer the safety is capable if being engaged with the hammer down. With the standard hammer the safety only engages with the hammer cocked. The safety blocks sear movement (not trigger bar/ disconnector) so putting the safety on with the hammer down and pulling the trigger can cause damage if you keep pulling.
