Can A Home Built Ar15, Only Be Used As An Open Gun

Hello All,

I have a home built AR-15. (Rock River upper and DPMS lower). Reading the rules, it looks like that it can only be considered for the Open class, in USPSA, is this correct? Thanks for your answers.

That would make it a DPMS rifle. As long as it doesn't have too big a comp or too many optics or a bipod, it's good for Limited or Tactical.

I know there's some grey area in the rules but it has never been an issue.

My AR is RRA,DPMS, JP, Douglas and Benny Hill and who knows what else. I shoot tactical. Makes no diffrence who manufactured the parts or who put them together, if it fits the division, thats where it belongs.----Larry
