atbarr
A friend sold me some Clays, I have about about 400 200 gr. Bayou Bullets SWC on hand. What would be a good starting load and OAL for minor power in my G21?
atbarr
A fellow on Reloading Central, a Facebook group sent me here. http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol?&CartridgeName=45+ACP&OrderBW%5B%5D=200&Manufacturer%5B%5D=Hodgdon&Powder%5B%5D=Clays Looks like 3.4 to start. solaritx
Clays is a great powder for the .45. I LOVE Donnie's bullets and have been using them from ALMOST the beginning. One thing for me. I could not get a SWC to work well in my G21. The SWC would feed well in my single stack but the glock double stack was ALWAYS problematic. Used Donnie's RN and ran with no problems in ANY of my .45 (Glock, 1911, 2011) Garry N

That link shows an OAL of 1.225, I used 1.250 in the past with Solo 1000.
GunBugBit
I became an instant fan of Bayou bullets. Price and quality at a very sweet spot.
mike l m
You can use 3.9 grains of Clays with Donnie's 230 RN and 225 FP. With a 200 SWC I would use 4.1 gr of Clays and load to 1.245 OAL. Should be a PF of 170-175. Maybe a little hot but no powder residue in barrel.I have them to be 100% in my 5 in 1911. IMHO. Good Luck, Mike
