coltlover
I have a nice STI Eagle that has been modified for 3 gun. Looking to get into USPSA a little. Would like to shoot some Open class. Is it possible to replace my 9mm barrel with a fitted Trubor barrel?
Quack
Is the eagle a 9mm? If so a smith can fit the barrel and contour the comp end of the barrel to match the tri-topped slide.
MrPostman
Bushing barrel or bull?
Quack
Trubor is a bull barrel with comp
MrPostman
Actually I was wondering what barrel he has in it now.
MrPostman
You should be able to fit the Trubor barrel to your slide. The only thing besides cost to fit it that may change your mind is that your slide will need a 1 degree cut on the front where the comp and slide meet for clearance. Which means you will need to get the slide recoated in black DLC.
coltlover
Hmm, the slide. Then frame will need to be drilled and tapped for scope mount. May or may not need to do something with the rear sight. Sounds like a good excuse to just buy another gun. This one is awful nice to start cutting on and I'm not convinced it will be very practical to switch back and forth.

You can shoot either or both without having to wrench on your baby.
