sac
Will a savage 720 barrel work on a Remington model 11? Thanks scott
P.E. Kelley
It might, but certainly would not expect "drop in". You are not thinking 3 gun are you? Edited August 20, 2015 by P.E. Kelley
sac
Just for the occasional shotgun side match. I have two factory barrels for my 11, one is 30in. full and 26in. skeet. I can't bring my self to cut the 30 or install tubes in the skeet, so looking for a barrel maybe to cut down and put tubes in. Thanks Scott
P.E. Kelley
So long as you don't have to load it on the clock. Have fun.
sac
I installed a Browning a5 carrier and it helps quite a bit.

I would just use the skeet barrel as is. It may pattern just well enough.

P.E. Kelley
I'm not much of a collector so I went ahead and cut the barrel and choked and soldered on sites ultimately it's just another tool in the battery
killab
P.E., What barrel length is that? And which magazine extension are you using? I have a 11-48 that I'm going to add an extension to. Thanks in advance
sac
The tube looks to be a choate and for a Remington 870.
saddler
Nice. Got a couple of Auto5's but not got lucky enough to find a Remington 11 or a Savage 720 yet... Quite fancy running one of my A5's with a mag. extension tube, etc.
openclassterror
My brother had a 720 in 16ga when we were growing up. It was hell on the local crow population! Based on our experiences with gunsmithing the 16ga, the parts are nominally the same as the model 11, but nearly everything requires minor fitting, as ALL field guns were pretty much hand-fit in that era. Had some warm, fuzzy memories of cool fall afternoons in my teenage years smelling gunpowder and competing for the longest shot during the crow migrations Thanks for that
