hvsmith
I'm receiving a new Matt McLearn Custom Open gun in 38 SC this week with a Schuemann 3 port hybricomp design. Can anyone share their Major load recipe to speed up my load development? I will be using VV 3N38 with Montana Gold 124 cmj round nose & Federal SR primers - Thanks for your help. fuentesd99
Do a search for VV3N38 or 38 Super and you will find a butt load of info.
TONY BARONE
I"m using 9.6 Gr. of N-105 and a 124 m/g hp bullet for a pf of 169 in a McLearn hybricomp. There is a bunch of guys here shooting Matt guns that use 3n38 but I don't know their loading data. You will love that gun, super tite and accurate and the fit and finish is beautiful. Pat Miles
What does Matt suggest?
hvsmith
This will be my 7th Open gun & every gun has varied quite a bit as far as the loads go. Matt suggests using 3N38 but he hasn't shot over a chrono in quite awhile. My guns have gone from a low of 9.1 to a high of 10.6 for 3N38, just wanted to see if I could narrow this gap down for guys running Matt's guns. Thanks Tony for your load, that helps me narrow the gap down.
