jriggs
anyone else run into a problem with loading longer (69-77) grain 223 stuff. I noticed that certain loads are too tall and will not clear under the seating die. even some basic loads you can't really get the die face flush to the shell plate because there isn't enough stroke height to allow the bullet to pass under and into the seating die? what fixes have you guys come up with? thanks, riggs
MikeRush
Can you lower the seating stem in the die and raise the die? If not, you may be able to have the die shortened(material removed from the bottom) to clear the incoming bullet.
DougCarden
I used a Redding adjustable seating die. I took it to my smith and had him mill the body shorter and then the longer bullets will not hit the body. DougC
