Dustbuster1
Anyone know if it's possible to convert a mp 9 5" pro to a core by swapping slide and barrel ??? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
bmiller
That should work, but I have not seen core slides for sale. Probably could buy another gun for about the same money.
KSwift
There's no point in swapping the barrel out. The CORE just has the slide cut for the optics. Now the Performance Center, on the other hand, could benefit from the entire top end as the slide and barrel are ported. And +1 on it not being cost effective at all. Just sell the old one and get the one you want. It'll cost less than a spare upper assembly.
Dustbuster1
Being the ported cores are scarce, I thought about a swap......both barrel and slide are ported. Am thinking open class ..... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk It probably seems like they're scarce because they don't exist. There's no such thing as a factory ported M&P CORE. All the factory ported models are marked, marketed, advertised and sold as "Performance Center" models. Try searching for that, you might find more hits that way.
