dogdoc1
I have alot of brass that i have fired upteem times with major loads. How long have any of you had your 45 brass last? I get a split every now and then but it seems to last forever. Sonny
Shipster
That's one of the cool things about a low pressure cartridge, the brass does last a very long time. I have .45 brass that I have loaded as many as 25 times or more, I load them until they crack then toss them.
Gun Geek
I have a test group going: Started with 100 cases mixed, but once fired cases. Winchester, PMC, Fiocchi, Speer Nickel. They've been fired 47 times (in my log book). About half of them have been trashed. Most of those before 10 loads. Can't see an obvious pattern of which cases failed first. I use a 200gn masterblaster bullet, 4.3gn of Clays, Winchester primers. Runs about 850fps.
