Nealio
Did anyone ever figure out a replacement for the Super Sight height adjustment screw? I know a few guys on here were needing one. I guess a local guy here lost his as well.
e-mishka
Well, I got fed up with Tanfo "Super" sight and got a couple of this part # 100-002-638WB from Brownells http://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/sights/rear-sights/lpa-cut-1911-rear-sight-sku100002638-23299-49259.aspx You will need to fit it a bit ,since it designed for slightly wider dovetail, but not much. Its a night and day compared to the factory one. Adjustment screw stays put on both windage and elevation.
Nealio
Same dovetail angle? How about the set screws, are they in the same location?
e-mishka
Same dovetail angle? How about the set screws, are they in the same location?Yes to both. I used 3sided file and dremmel to fit it
Nealio
couldn't you just stone/file the base down?
e-mishka
you can, but it was a bit faster to grind a bit with dremmel and finish with file. I used a thin sanding disc to get close to the measurements.
