cledford
Hello, a quick question, what do you guys think of the 9mm major? I've heard a little about it and am curious. I ask because a local shop just got some .40 STI limited guns in stock - but I'm wondering if I should have the shop order the 9mm. Also, any opinion on how the 9mm or the 40 might transition to the open class? I know the 38 super seems to be "the" open caliber - but I'd like something that can grow from one class to the other - if possible. My main concern - will either the 40 or the 9mm major work an open comp? Thanks, -Calvin
GlockSpeed31
Calvin, You might want to do a search on the 9mm Major deal. There are lots of info here about the subject.
Larry White
Calvin, 9mm cannot be shot at major powder factor in limited, has to be at least .40.----Larry
Loves2Shoot
.40+ is your only choice for both classes if you want to shoot major.
Loves2Shoot
I would even worry about comping a .40 if you want to shoot it in open. The dot is what makes open fast not the comp.
.40AET
There is a big difference in mag capacity when considering the two. Get two top ends built, one in each caliber. 9mm major has become viable for open.
