pfcchambers
Well guys I am excited, I just received in the mail today a Henning long length trigger and a competition magwell for my Elite Limited. Looking at the magwell it appears to be unfinished aluminum. My question is what finish or protectant substance are you guys putting on them if anything at all? Thanks for any replies
kneelingatlas
The new run of magwells are coated, with some matte grey finish, I'm not sure what it is, but I'm fairly certain it's not raw aluminum (I definitely prefer the old finish).
pfcchambers
Oh OK I appreciate the response. Henning called me the other day before he shipped my order to me to ensure I did indeed want the long length trigger. (Definitely no better customer service!) I asked to just confirm that the magwell was silver. I thought he said he left them unfinished, he mentioned I could get it anodized any color I want. But to be honest I was at work when I was talking to him and I am fairly heard of hearing so it very likely that I just misheard some of the conversation. In another note, what an improvement over the factory!. Now I just need to install my new trigger.
JDMarshall
Mine came bead blasted but I did a little polish job on it. Need to deburr the frame edge when we go for ceracote
Iggy42
If its made of Aluminum then I would say have it hard anodized (might be with he is doing already)
