Used a cheap ass Harbor Freight welder and a piece of metal from Home Depot (found it where they sell the metal bars and such.) Ground the bump on the stock safety completely flat. Clamped the piece of metal where I wanted it with a pair of all metal locking pliers, hooked the welder ground to the locking pliers, and welded (poorly.) Then I ground off the mess I made (still looks like shit but it isn't going anywhere) and cut the angle off in the rear with a cut off wheel.
