Removing M&P Backstrap In Production -- NOT LEGAL

Apendix D4 Rule 22.2 clear states, "Grips – any addition or removal of material which changes the factory profile or adds function such as beavertail or thumb rest." I believe the key word is profile.

The definition of Profile is, "an outline of something as seen from one side." the backstraps have the same profile in different sizes where as the back of the gun changes profile without the backstrap in place.

I'm sure Director NROI would help you if need be. email him at below address got back to me in less than 24 hours.

The gun with all back straps is on the approved list. The gun without a back strap is not legal. Why am I the only one that thinks that make sense?

Sarge and I agree on something......

The sky might be about to fall, but, yeah I think this is really simple.....

The guns as supplied come with a bunch of backstrap options and are approved as long as any one of the backstraps is actually installed....

Want to shoot the gun without one? Get S&W or Glock to package a model without any backstraps in the package, and have them make 2,000 available for sale....

Simple. You make your choice and then you live with it, or you change guns.....
