wscottstewart
I got witness limited used. Sight was swapped to fiber optic. (Height is ?) Gun shot high and I backed out sight (UP) too far and screw & spring are out. I have fought with this for a while. What's the procedure? Nealio
First you need to lower that rear sight to get it to shoot lower. To get the screw back in you just push down hard while trying to screw it in.

jmbaccolyte
For those of us that are not mechanically inclined: you push down on the rear sight to compress the spring, then wiggle the screw back and forth to make certain that its aligned with the threads in the slide and carefully turn it clockwise while pressing down on the sight and screw. And once you've figured out what Nealio is telling you about which way the sights move the point of impact on the target and get it sighted in- loosen the screw some and apply some green thread lock compound and tighten it back so its sighted in again. I had to clean the oil off the screw with brake cleaner from the auto parts store before the thread locking compound would work. Nealio- Sorry if I stepped on your answer. Sometimes you guys think too fast for some of us. Edited November 25, 2014 by jmbaccolyte
