Shooter212
I have heard that gen 4 barrels are fully supported. Is this true or are they the same as the old barrels.
AJE
They have better support than the older ones, but I don't know that they can be considered "fully".
Brooke
A "fully" supported chamber is a nice Internet rumor thing. You would never get a cartridge fed into it though. The ramp is cut out to allow the cartridge to slide up and into the chamber. I fail to see the concern here. The Internet is full of ridiculous stuff about Glock and support. I have reloaded casings over 25 times that were shot through a combination of Glocks 26, 17, 19 and 34. Thousands ( tens of thousands) and never saw a casing damaged by so-called lack of support. A few have cracked up near the bullet end due to metal fatigue. None due to lack of support near the head.
