Interesting Para frame

I have an aluminum Para frame hiding in the safe that I picked up along the way. It says PATENT PENDING on it along with the usual Canada and Florida markings. Prefix is PG. Anyone have any info they can share on it? I'm thinking it's a really early one from when they were trying to sell it to the military in the early 80's.

That's a first generation frame. They were originally only made in aluminum and .45ACP magazines.

In the late-80s, they did a Beryllium Copper frame to get some durability, eschewing steel to keep the weight down, but that is a pretty dangerous substance to machine and grind on, so they eventually went to steel and began offering .38 Super magazines.
