LegionShooter Posted October 26, 2014 Share Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) I bought nine used mag bodies some time ago for my limited gun. All were advertised as .40 STI. Two of the nine turned out to be STI for Para bodies with the narrower mag catch openings. Two of the remaining seven have different feed lips and slightly different mag bodies. Seem to work fine in the gun but I'm curious as to the difference. Used google and the search but no luck. The mag on the right side in the pics is the one (two) in question. Guy Neill Posted October 26, 2014 Share Posted October 26, 2014 The one on the right looks more like a 38 Super mag since the grooves are deep on both sides. A 40 mag has one side deep, the other side shallow and 45 mags will have both sides shallow and, as this one seems, 9mm/38 Supper mages will have both sides deep.
