enutees
I'm still relatively new to Glocks. (less than a year.) I'm looking for a definitive answer as to the legality in production of the filling the back strap and then shaping it. I've been told yes and no. I emailed USPSA/Nroi etc a few weeks ago and haven't heard back. I want to do a diy job as I found a few links and it seems easy enough. Any thoughts? I do have a plug in it now and it's beat to hell and still manages to catch the occasional mag. I'd prefer just a nice smooth transition.
andrewtac
I catch on the front lip and back as well when I start to push faster. Would be nice to know.
Moltke
Yes its a legal modification http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180206 Good luck DIY

andrewtac
So I did something similar, but perhaps a little easier. I used a cpwsa plug, which has some angle already built in the plug and fits up inside the magwell. This is all internal and does nor require building up the magwell. Put the plug in and shape. CPWSA plug installed, no carving done yet. Carved on it, could have smoothed out the edges a little better to make it prettier. No backstrap installed. Backstrap installed (as I shoot it the gun). enutees
Thanks for the replies. And I may try shaping my plug to start.
andrewtac
I cleaned it up some with some sandpaper (600,1000,2000); I also knocked down the ridges all the way around the magwell on the insides. The pictures suck, but it is a much smoother transition.
