ScottyPotty
If you are using a Precision Lee measure you might try replacing it with a Lee Pro measure. The Pro has a few upgrades, especially the wiper. It's only about $41.00 cost. The pro didnt work for me. This is what I came up with. Dillon measurer with a riser I made for the LCT - works great. JJP161
Hey Scotty, Very nicely done. That looks really good. Do you find that to more consistent with a wider variety of powders over the Lee Pro?
ScottyPotty
Yes, the Dillon has been more consistent and is easier to adjust then using the disks. Plus I had an extra measurer sitting around so i could dedicate it to the LCT. The next riser i make will allow me leave the powder die in the tool head. This one will have to be unthreaded and rethreaded into the next tool head. I just wanted to prove this worked before I go to all the trouble. JJP161
Thanks everyone for the great input. After a long time, a lot of research and a lot of emails answered by Mr. Enos, I finally placed my order for a Dillon 550B, starting with .40 S&W and hopefully adding .45 ACP very soon. Now I can't wait to get started. Thanks again everyone. Joe
tires2burn
I also started out on a Lee classic and when I got real comfortable on it, it dawned on me how many times I had to pull the handle for 400 rounds. Got a 550 and have a ball getting 1 round for 1 pull.
