dhunt91
Any one used this rail? trying to keep the weight and ballance of my gun as close to possible as a regualr 16' barrel Ill be using a voodoo ultra light 18 inch rifle with this rail possibly looks to come in about 2 oz lighter up front than it currently is combined with light weight internals and rifle length gas and buffer (taccom) Im thinking this would be a very very soft setup. usmc1094
I have the 13.5 inch and it is light! The measurement they give you is for the top, the bottom is 1.5 inches longer at least on the 13.5 inch. https://www.primaryarms.com/Diamondhead_USA_VRS_T_15_0_Free_Floating_Versa_p/2241.htm The 15inch is out of stock here, but if your not in a hurry maybe it can save you a few dollars. I may be wrong but I think stag uses these on their 3g rifles. After looking its on the stag model 3T Edited September 9, 2014 by usmc1094
dhunt91
okay thanks thats good to know so 15" one would be perfect for my 18" build
usmc1094
Im using the 13.5"on my 18" and the top rail just covers the gas block, so the 15" would be perfect. If you wait for a holiday Primary arms normally puts their rails on sale. Just sign up for the emails. MickB
Be careful of your gas block. A fellow local shooter has a 15" version of this rail, and he had to dremel his JP GS5 gas block for sufficient clearance. Mick

steviesterno
i had one of their shorter rails on an SBR upper. was really nice, light, and well put together for the price. Silly buying a house means I had to sell a ton, but as I buy back up over the next year you can bet one of these will be put into the mix.
