You can always trim the bottom of the ejector if the mag lip is touching it when you hold up on the mag with the slide locked back.

Not on many 9mm extended style ejectors. Trim it any and the extension will just break off.

The ETM design to ride higher is just a really bad idea for a 9mm 1911.

The ETM rode way higher than even the Tripp. They position the catch hole in an out-of-spec place. So if your parts are counting on mags being in spec, forget it.
