I'm new to reloading 40 S&W so I looked in this forum for recommendations. Many of you loved e3 and I had some, so I worked up loads based on the info I got here. Here are the results. Chrono data is below.

All loads were shot from my CZ 75 TS w/5.4" barrel, all used CCI 500 primers and COL for all was 1.126"

85 degrees, Chrono Distance 10', Roger's Better Bullets:

175 LSWCBB, 3.1 e3, 10 shots, SD 9.53, 854 Avg Vel, PF 149

180 LTCBB, 3.1 e3, 10 shots, SD 8.88, Avg Vel 844, PF 151

180 LTCBB, 3.4 e3, 11 shots, SD 8.86, Avg Vel 902, PF 162

155 LSWCBB, 3.1 e3, 10 shots, SD 16.32, Avg Vel 854, PF 132

155 LSWCBB, 3.4 e3, 10 shots, SD 14.06, Avg Vel 933, PF 144

175 LSWCBB, 3.8 Solo 1000, 5 shots, SD 9.67, Avg Vel 846, PF 148

180 LTCBB, 3.8 Solo 1000, 14 shots, SD 12.62, Avg Vel 843, PF 151

95 degrees, Chrono Distance 11', Delco Shooter's bullets:

175 LSWCBB, 2.8 e3, 20 shots, SD 9.90, Avg Vel 797, PF 139

180 LTCBB, 2.8 e3, 20 shots, SD 6.75, Avg Vel 773, PF 139

175 LSWCBB, 3.5 e3, 14 shots, SD 7.79, Avg Vel 928, PF 162

180 LTCBB, 3.5 e3, 9 shots, SD 8.08, Avg Vel 913, PF 164

I might try going lower for the minor load just to see what happens. However, I'll probably stick with the 2.8 e3 load because it cycles with the 13 lb spring. Brass dribbles out 2' to the right, but there is never a malfunction. The major load throws to brass 4-5' to the right. It looks like I'll bump it to 3.6gr e3 for major and call it done.

Thanks to all who posted such valuable info and got me started on the right foot.

Looks good, I load SNS coated 180gr with 3.6-3.7 of e3, to 1.1250 to ensure proper function, and your results are in line with what I see. I'm using a 4" Walther PPQ M2 so there's not much I can do with springs yet. (I recently swapped smartphones so I don't have my chrono data anymore.)

EDIT: I'm picking up a bunch of SNS 165 gr coated non-groove pills at Indiana next week, and I think they'll make a real nice minor load. Tried 140gr but they were much snappier than the 180s. I think the 165s might be the perfect cost/performance balance for me.
