gunther
Here is a question are duplex loads legal to use in competition? I have never found anything in the rules that say anything about them. They are basically two bullet stacked in the case.
2MoreChains
See rule 5.5.6: Ammunition must not discharge more than one bullet or other scoring projectile from a single round.

teros135
Nope. 5.5.6 of the current (2014) rule book says: "Ammunition must not discharge more than one bullet or other scoring projectile from a single round".
2MoreChains
Puts a whole new meaning to "one sight picture and send two..." if it were legal!
mgardner
I was always under the impression that duplex (or triplex) loads had to do with using several different layered types of powder to affect burning rate and increase velocities. There was much discussion and experimentation with them when I was young and they are largely ignored since recent advancements in powder technology. They tend to be unsafe. Duplex loads in a shotshell have 2 different sizes of shot in them and can be used in 3 gun.
