Cy,

The 85 series are basically 75's with ambi thumb safeties, and ambi slide releases. The 85 Combat has an extended mag catch, adjustable sights, and no firing pin block. You can get it in polycoat, glossy blue, dual-tone, and nickle, and they only come in 9mm. Standard mag capacity is 16+1.

The SP-01 is a newer version of the 75 series. It only comes in 9mm, polycoat. It has an extended dust cover with light rail, extended slide release, supposed to be available in decocker and thumb safety models, and they also come with night sights. Standard mag capacity is 18+1, although some people say 19+1 is possible. Mags interchange between 75's/85's and the SP-01.

Another brilliant feature of the new SP-01 is that the frame is steel, just like the new competition 9mms from Sig & Beretta and frankly, its a bit like a long heavy dustcover SV or STI (only its allowed in Production). While it resembles the new Czech national police sidearm (the alloy P-01), the SP-01's frame is larger & made of steel. There will be both a frame safety & a de-cocker model produced. It should shake things up in both USPSA & IPSC production - particularly with Todd Sindelar, Angus, Matt & Petros behind it.
