338lapua
I just found out today that my bullets are hitting my comp at times. A friend suggested reaming out the comp a little to prevent this. Does this sound ok?? Rob
Millennium Custom II
first make sure tht the COMP is not loose, than you can line ream. how many round have you shot .
warpspeed
I found my bullets hitting the comp because of lead build up. Check to see. BTW, you can get a comp reamer from EGW that works very well.
338lapua
Thanks for the qhuck reply, I'll ck to make sure its not lead(I dont shoot lead) but it might be a build up of carbon. I did not think of that. Thanks again Rob
Brazos Custom
You can still get a build up of lead if you shoot jacketed bullets with an exposed lead base. The lead melts off the back of the bullet. Bullets hitting the comp is a very common problem.
mcoliver
There was on old thread about this. Anyway, IIRC, a suggestion was made to ream only the hole where the bullet hits and not all of them. A search may turn up something.
