BattleCreek
New to reloading and while looking for more bullets I found a good deal on Xtreme RNFP bullets both in 380 and 40sw, they carry RN 147gr 9mm so there are no worries there... but before buying these bullets I was wondering if I can seat them with my regular Lee Dies?? or would I need another?? Doesn't seem like a problem to me but since I'm new I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask before I get stuck buying more parts and not making the deal worth while.. thx... olemiss
Using the coated bullets, I found that when I tried to seat 9mm and .45 round nose bullets with my Dillon dies, the seater would disrupt the coating on the bullets on the nose. I tried the Redding Competition seating die, and I can use it for both jacketed HP and the coated round nose bullets without problem. It is a little pricy, but it is worth it to me. The only thing I have to be careful with is loading major 9mm and using compressed powder charges - this die is not made to crunch powder while seating. bowenbuilt
Regular Lee seating dies work great with these bullets if that's what you have use them.
