Parallax3D
I asked Troy McManus this question during our recent CRO class, and his take was that each string was a new COF, (because there is a separate "Stand By" and start signal on each string.)So, absent a comment from Amidon... Skydiver
Ah, but did you mention the "dropped gun" scenario between strings? Would that then not be DQ since it's a new COF?
JAFO
Is it a loaded gun? The previously mentioned dropped gun scenario was before RIC. After that command, the gun is presumed to be unloaded, and dropping it at that point is dropping an unloaded gun outside a COF. If it's between strings, wouldn't the gun still be loaded for the next string? On the topic of whether the barney mag can come from a front pocket between strings, wouldn't 8.3.6.1 be interpreted as the allowing this:8.3.6.1 When conducting Standard Exercises, Range Officials may issue other interim commands on completion of the first string, in order to prepare the competitor for the second and subsequent strings. (e.g. “Reload if required and holster”). Edited June 18, 2014 by JAFO
