jimreed1948
I have seen "Bill Drill" referred to several times in numerous different threads. After doing a search, I really haven't come up with anything. Is this a particular training exercise? Can someone point me to the location where it's posted? Racinready300ex
A Bill Drill is Draw and fire 6 shots in one target. Typ. 7 yards is the standard distance, but things can be learned at any distance. 2 seconds seems to be a good time to shoot for at 7 yards with all A's. Chills1994
I think it is a surrender start too... I think... Which means wrists above shoulders...some guys just start out with their fingertips touching their ear muffs. I saw Rob Leatham put on a demo a few years ago at an indoor range using a steel target and frangible ammo (cintered/sintered powdered metal for the bullets). So he did a double bill drill, draw, shoot six, reload (swap mags) then shoot another 6, all on target, all in less than 4 seconds as a par time on the timer. Then he did a triple bill drill, draw, shoot six, reload, shoot 6, reload, shoot the last six, all in under 6 seconds. Help me out with the math... Shot number 6 goes off at 1.99, so subtract 0.15 seconds for each split 1.99 1.84 1.69 1.54 1.39 1.24 So your draw to first shot time has got to be a 1.
