My 40 started as a FDC in all black, but I had Shay butler cut and stroke it. It's going to be two tone ion bond with gray and black. mwf008 Posted March 20, 2014 Share Posted March 20, 2014 It's stroked. The frame/slide is fit in such a way that allows the slide to cycle more to the rear. It's supposed to reduce felt recoil. I actually just recently installed the grip. Not sure if I'm allowed to say how much I bought it for, but it's well worth it in my opinion. Metallurgist Posted August 31, 2014 Share Posted August 31, 2014 This is stock pic from Akai but my pistol will have the turtle cuts like this but be tri topped between the sights and include a PT SS grip (aggressive) the ion bond coatings will be the same.
