jstagn
I changed out the captive recoil spring from factory 16lb. to a 15lb. works great with Vit n320 3.2gr. The problem is sometimes while cleaning the captive assembly the recoil spring will pop off of the end nut that retains it. Too much lube?
bigfish
Sounds like the inner diameter of the spring is a little to big for the retaining bolt on the rod. I would just run it as a noncaptive rod and spring assy
jstagn
You may be right. So I should just leave the nut/bolt off? Would that make it difficult to re-assemble? Thanks....
bigfish
There not too bad. I just use an aftermarket noncaptive guiderod so I can switch springs anytime I want.

ttownracer
Non captured makes life easy. Get 3-4 springs to experiment as they are cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
