TDH
Just picked up my limited gun. I noticed the rear slide didn't match the frame well and that the barrel wasn't as tight as I was expecting. I'm wondering if the slide may not be going all the way forward and barrel is not locking up properly. Do these pictures look normal or is something off? -Tim
jkmccoy
Tim, It doesn't look right to me. On all the Tanfo's I've had any experience with the back of the slide is flush with the frame when the slide is completely forward (in battery). Will it go ahead and go forward completely if you push on the back of the slide? If it comes to rest like this when you let the slide down gently it might just be new gun tight. If it stops here when you let the slide drop and it resists going the rest of the way forward then there's probably a problem. Cheers, Kelly
TDH
This is as far as it goes. Doesn't matter if you drop the slide or try to push it forward. After looking at it further, I think it is fine. Barrel goes back to the breech face and goes into the lugs ok as far as I can tell. It's just not as tight as I anticipated. Intercooler2
It doesn't look in position if you compare to mine. Edited March 15, 2014 by Intercooler2
Intercooler2
Can you post a picture of the chamber end of just the barrel? You may need to remove some of the pad on there. I had to do it to my new 6" barrel because it was way off!

Intercooler2
Here was my 10mm Hunter when fitting a 9mm barrel. This area here had a nice pad (fitment material) on it that I had to file down. Giving me a perfect in battery setup.
Intercooler2
I can see a little step on yours. Try knocking it off with a file and give it a little polish there.
