Any one using 1.5-6 MTAC on a .223? looking for holdovers

I know the reticle is for 7.62, and I have a .308 AR where I could mount it. I got a screaming deal on a brand new MTAC and wondered if anyone has built hold overs in .223 55ish grain loads for the 7.62 reticle. I am aware of the disadvantages of the 1.5.

Nate I recommend you get a ballistic app, and input your FPS, wind speed, ballistic coefficient , etc. The Strelok app is a great resource for what your looking for . Good luck

That is excellent advice I have followed. I just wondered if there was any one with experience shooting it already. I am noticing some positive and negative qualities just dry firing. I will get to the range this weekend and see what we have. Thanks.

Yes. The strelok app is well worth the money. I have it. Works great.

I have a 1.5-6 XTR with the 7.62 reticle and it is almost perfect with my 69 gr loads. I have used this out to 600 yds with no problems. With 55 gr loads it will shoot a little high at the longer distances.
