oddjob
I tried to load to a OAL of 1.250 or 1.255, but the round won't chamber check without sticking out a bit. I tried with Rem and W-W bullets and they work fine with the regular OAL. I then noticed the shape of the MG 230 FMJ's seem "shorter & fatter" than the others. I have had to shorten the OAL to make them chamber check. Has anyone else noticed this?? Second question.....I have a gift certificate for MG bullets and was wondering if anyone tried the MG 230 JHP's??? thanks..........
spook
My .45s stick out of the gauge too. Doesn't seem to matter at all. Even makes them easier to push out in case one gets stuck
LPatterson
This is an awful late entry but I checked my Midway case length die and it is 1.275. I don't have a 625 so I can't do a chamber check but there is no law that says the length can't be shorter so I use 1.220 when I put 230's through the Glock. 1 1911 won't chamber a 230 that long another 1 will. Load for what your gun likes or the feel that you are trying to get.
