Forrest Halley
Hello, I am a fan of Win 296 in other calibers, but I wonder if it can be used to load 9mm Major. Some say it won't and I am wondering why. Is it not able to make the velocity or overpressure? If it's possible I'd still like to load it for the fire breathing capability if nothing else. It's always fun to load some flashy rounds. Any ideas on where to start? Thanks for your time!
Doc Hunter
Seems a bit too slow. Edited November 4, 2013 by Doc Hunter
yoshidaex
Minor pf might be possible but I doubt you can get it to major pf. It's ranked as a fairly slow powder. It'll take up quite a lot of volume. Made for 357 magnum and larger cartridges where case capacity isn't an issue.
Powder Finger
you could make the old pf in the 23mm len cases barely, not sure about 19mm case. it would be really close.
MrVvrroomm
You'll never get enough powder in the case to make major
