JD45
Someone please help me here. Bob Brister once wrote the most awesome shotgunning book in the history of mankind and I forgot the exact title. I checked it out of our local Library probably a dozen times over the years. It was probably written in the 1960-75 era. This book should be reprinted and Benos should sell it. What makes it so great is the relentless work and photos he put into it. The chapters on shot string cover soft vs. hard shot, all sorts of payload comparisons, and complete tests on steel shot even before it was required. He used a station wagon with a trailer attached, driven by his wife, to show the long shot strings on the huge pattern board in tow. She would drive at different speeds to simulate various target speed/shot string relationships. It is an eye opener. What a book!
