I heading up to Portland in Sept.

And I'm thinking about bringing a couple of guns to get sprayed while I'm there

Any recommendation for a good shop in the area

ray-not portland, but here on the coast about 10 mins from my place is ron downs of STS arms.

I have been checking out cerakote coatings for the last week or so. this link will let you search by state. I live in Wilsonville (about 15min south of Portland) and there's a place here that does cerakote that is on of the certified places for cerakote (according to that website.) the place is Buster Beaver Designs (maybe not the most Tacticool name...) but there are lots of pictures on their facebook

I called them and they said turn around is 2 or 3 days. That seems fast to me. I talked to a guy named Chase and he was all about having me come into the store and check out samples of their work. (to me a sign that they are proud of the work they do.)

I live 15 minutes for the beach, and like most locals, I never go there:-(
