gunther
What kind of heavy metal loads are you guys using?
wgj3
It depends on the type of match. Many are using light bullets in the 125gr ballpark for all the blaster/hoser stages and then using the "match" loads for anything out past 200-300 yds. I assume you are talking about .308. I know that Sam Keen has loaded up 110 gr M1 carbine projectiles to make lower recoil short range ammo, and plenty of others have done similar things. I've used Midway 125 gr "blems" (I think they were Rem polymer-tipped 2nds), Sierra 135 gr HPBT, Hornady 110 V-max, and a few others that I do not recall at present. For the accuracy stuff, most go back to 150, 155, 165, 168 gr bullets in "match" loads.

R112mercer
I'm running Sierra 135 SMK's seated to 2.800" over 46.0 gr. of IMR 4895. Makes about 2700 fps out a 16" barrel.
