GunCat
If you are an Exede customer have you noticed a significant increase in the amount of bandwidth data the meter shows you are using in the past 2 weeks (since the meter was turned back on as of April 19) ? Bill Nesbitt
I have Wildblue which is part of Northland Connect which has something to do with Exede. I had a big jump in December with mine. They said I exceeded my limit and slowed my speed way down. I called customer support and after several days and lots of calls they gave me a "one time reset". Since, I have checked it several times a day and couldn't make any sense out of the bandwidth measurements. Over the last 2 months my usage has dropped from a high in the mid 80% range down to 40% and I don't think I have been using it that much less. One factor in my usage might have been that we got the 3 kids all Kindles for Christmas. I shut off the internet connection for them and then my usage has gone steadily down. I'm not convinced that the equipment they use to measure usage works right.
BritinUSA
If you have any smart phones then they may be using the wifi connection to push email or accessing location services such as GPS etc.
