ipscron2000
I've done a search and couln't find an answer, so i'll ask. I have a Dillon 550B and when i size/decap a spent round, the spent primers seem to go everywhere. The little hinged tray is loose and not locked in any one position. Anyone know how to fix this??????? Ron
dskd
is the pin through the hinged tray bent ? and watch the hinged tray through the pass stroke and see if it opens and closes at the right time
ClutchUSMC
Yep you gotta mess with the cotter pin. It gets jacked up from time to time. Just bend it back so that the arm is timed correctly to drop them at the right time.
Guest
Replace the cotter pin with a paper clip and bend it at the ends to keep it in place. Tweak as necessary so the catcher open easily on the downstroke. Even when the little catcher is set up properly I still get a few that miss the cup, flip out on the floor, or end up on the frame of the press somehow. atbarr
I use a large safety pin. Put it in the holes, snip off the excess and bend it.

This Solution Is A Winner And The One I Went To After Rebending My Cotter Pin Too Many Times To Count. Of Course Any Pin Can Be used.
