jmbaccolyte
What model EAA/Tanfoglio do you have? Which EGW parts were installed (Henning's Ultimate Prepped Trigger Kit - Large Frame (includes EGW Prepped Hammer, Prepped Sear, Henning X-Long Firing Pin, Wolff Hammer Spring) or the older unmodified EGW parts? Did you or the gunsmith adjust the pre-travel and over-travel settings (if your model has them)? Is the person that installed the parts familiar with EAA/Tanfoglios? Someone here with more experience will help you, but they may need more information.
kneelingatlas
Did you adjust per/over travel with the slide off? If so that's why. The screws have to be adjusted with the slide on and the hammer cocked by racking the slide, not just cocking it with your thumb. The slide racking effects the reset. kneelingatlas
I'll bet dollars to donuts that if you back out the screws it'll work.
