PistolJim
Did a search and couldn't find anything. Ever use Lapua .38 Supercomp? Is it cheaper than Starline? I've used both Armscor and Starline but never Lapua. Thanks, James
shred
It's not bad.. the rim and extractor cut are on the small size for me (my press set up for Supercomp doesn't feed it very well), but it's supposed to be tough brass. VV also has the stones to publish "real" load data using 38 Lapua brass too, which gets them a gold star in my book.
PistolJim
Thanks What machine are you using? Im using RL1050. Your saying it doesn't feed into the shell plate? Jim
dogdoc
Jim, Supercomp and TJ brass use a .223 shell plate, and Lapua uses a 38 Super shell plate. The rebate above the rim isn't as much as the supercomp or TJ. This is based on a 650, but it is most likely the same for a 1050. The 38 Lapua will fit in the .223 shell plate, but you have to go slow, and it is a hassle!
PistolJim
Thanks I think I'll stick with Starline or Armscor. Jim
shred
Yeah, what Adam said.. it'll work (barely) on the .223 Dillon 1050 shellplate, but it's a hassle, so I skip it.
