Don’t let the competition pass you by and enroll in Advanced Competitive Pistol today taught by two World Champion Shooters, Max Michel and Blake Miguez. This course is for serious competitors who have previous competition experience and are now searching for the typical time savers to become a Champion. Students in this course can expect to cover a refresher on the Intermediate skills as well as advanced handgun techniques. The advanced handgun techniques include; shooting on the move, one handed shooting, positional work, stage break down, mental game, followed by a local level competition on the 7th. Here is your chance to learn from and compete with 3x World Speed Shooting Champion, Max Michel, as well as IPSC World Champion Blake Miguez, in the same class. The third day of the course will consist of shooting a local USPSA match in Thibodaux, Louisiana, while receiving coaching from the instructors.

Just did a private class with Max last weekend -- was amazing. A great tune up for the season. Max is one of the nicest shooters I have ever met and is very analytical and knowledgeable about technique. Some shooters are naturals and just shoot well and have never really thought of how or why they shoot well, that is not Max -- he knows exactly what makes a good shooter and conveys that in an easy to understand and reproducible way.

I highly recommend his classes to all level of shooters.

This is right down the road from my house. My question is this: I have NEVER shot a competition but i'm not new to shooting. I do intend on shooting some events this year but it would be my first. Would the "intermediate" course be better?

Hey CComeaux,

Sorry for the late reply, I thought I'd get an email if someone to respond.

That's a tough question to answer. Shooting competitions isn't necessarily a prerequisite. However, the next Intermediate course isn't until October, so you might want to sign up for the advanced course to get some instruction in before the upcoming shooting season. Feel free to e-mail me at travis@maxmichel.com if you have any questions, and I'd be glad to help.

Thanks!
