NoSteel Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 I have one with about 2" overlap and one with 4" , I don't feel as secure with the short one.. Also harder to snug up.. MGMorden Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 (edited) Double Alpha belt sizes are setup with the overlap accounted for. You order the size that matches your pants size. If you're in a 38 pants you should be good with a size 38 DAA belt. My DAA belt overlap is currently 5-6 inches and works well. I have an older belt that I started with - one of the generic "Big Dragon IPSC" belts off ebay that come in sizes "Small, Medium, and Large" and with that I only had 2-3 inches of overlap which I wasn't nearly as confident with.
