rrroberto
Hi, I am relatively new to reloading and been experiencing frequent misalignement of 9mm shell to powder funnel at station 2 of my RL550B while reloading. This causes too much slow down in my reloading ( as I have to carefully watch each stroke ) and resulting to damaged case...Anybody who could give me pointers on how to remedy this problem...I have observed that this problem occurs only when reloading 9mm...for 40 & 45 cal., I seldom experience this misalignment of shell and powder funnel at station 2 of my RL550B. D.Hayden
First glance, sounds like: 1) Wrong locator button 2) Wrong shell plate 3) Loose shell plate double check those first.
rtr
I had this exact problem loading 9 on my 550. First obviously check the locator buttons and shell plate, you should have #3 buttons, not sure which plate (call dillon). I solved the problem, not sure how, Dillon told me to put a shell in station 2, raise the plate up to the funnel so its aligned and then loosen and re-tighten the powder die. Also check to make sure the shell plate is tight enough. If my ideas don't work, call Dillon.
D.Hayden
I should've added... They make a small alignment tool that fits in the powder funnel, to help get things lined up.
